Creeks to Coast Cleanup
ECOSLO’s annual Creeks to Coast Cleanup is SLO County’s largest volunteer event as part of Coastal Cleanup Day! This volunteer event is put on in coordination with local efforts by the Central Coast Partners for Water Quality, statewide efforts with the California Coastal Commission and internationally with Ocean Conservancy. ECOSLO has served as the SLO County Coordinator since 2005.
This annual volunteer event empowers community members in SLO County to come together to protect our waterways, communities, wildlife, and our neighbors.

Looking back at past SLO County Creeks to Coast Cleanups:
In 2022 and 2023, Creeks to Coast Cleanup proved successful as we had over 900 participants, collected 16,520 pounds of trash and recyclables, and saw 49 cleanups county-wide. People participated in cleanups all the way from San Simeon down to Nipomo, from Paso Robles to Santa Margarita in parks, along creeks, in their neighborhoods, on the coastlines, and everywhere in between. It was such a wonderful opportunity to see the community response from these cleanup kits. It was truly incredible seeing people come together to take care of and protect our beautiful communities!
